When the embarrassing video of Chidinma Okeke the winner of the 2015 miss Anambra state competition came out, many people were furious and frustrated considering the fact of how she was seen engaged in lesbian acts which has really ridiculed her promising career.

Although Chidinma later denied the video angrily claiming that her pictures was imposed in the ridiculous video, but the pain and agony it has brought to her and her family would not be easily forgotten.

Going by the facts that she is from Anambra state which is one of the biggest state in southeastern Nigeria, here we look at some Super Eagles players who are also from Anambra state.

1. Emmanuel Emenike

Emenike

The Super Eagles striker was born in Otuocha which is one of the biggest city in Anambra state and the petite forward currently plays for Fenerbahce and he has been impressive for the club since joining the Turkish club.

Emenike has scored 16 goals for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, and the striker was among the Nigerian squad that won the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

2. Carl Ikeme

Carl Ikeme

Although he was born and raised in the United Kingdom, Ikeme is from Anambra state, and the goalkeeper has been impressive since he replaced former first choice Vincent Enyeama who has hanged his international boots.

Nigeria will face Algeria in a 2018 World Cup qualifying game in Uyo on November 12, 2016, but Carl Ikeme will not be available for the Super Eagles due to the injury he sustained while featuring for his club Wolves.

Akpeyi

Akpeyi was born on August 3, 1986 in Nnewi which is a popular town in Anambra state and the goalkeeper currently plays for Chippa United in South Africa and he has just been called as a replacement for injured Carl Ikeme for Super Eagles' game against Algeria in Uyo.

The goalkeeper was also among the U23 Dream Team that won bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics games which was held in Brazil.
