On Tuesday, December 6, award-winning gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane died in Johannesburg at the age of 37-years.
Confirming the death of the gospel singer, the family’s spokesperson Mhlo Gumede disclosed that Sfiso Ncwane died of kidney failure in the hospital. He added that the music star was rushed to the hospital shortly after a brief illness and was later moved to the intensive care unit where he gave up around 9:30am.

The family spokesperson said: “He loved his family very much. He loved his wife and son. It’s a traumatic time for them. He was a man of his word.” In 2013, the Kulungile Baba singer became the first gospel singer to win Record of the Year at the South African Music Awards.
