Female pastor arrested for running baby factory in Ogun state

A female pastor identified as Peace Udoh has been arrested for allegedly running a baby factory in her church, The Divine Yard Deliverance Ministry, located at Iyana Iyesi, Ota Ogun state.

The Lagos state police command arrested the 47-year-old pastor on Sunday, December 18, after receiving a tip-off on an on-going operation.

According to The Punch, Udoh was apprehended with an accomplice, Angela Akpan (a nurse), who assists her with complicated childbirth cases at her clinic located a few meters away from the church.

The Lagos state commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni while parading the suspects on Monday, December 19, explained that police detectives raided the syndicate after receiving intelligence report that, Udoh was looking for a buyer.

Owoseni said that the command is still working on a way to recover the 64 other children that were sold. He said: "The suspects run a baby factory in the Sango Ota area. We are still working to get 64 children she has sold out.

Udoh who denied all allegations, stated that she used the church as a maternity home to assist pregnant church members for a token, saying: "I have been a pastor for 13 years. I only assisted my church members during childbirth. I take delivery of 13 to 15 babies every year and I have handled over 60 cases so far. I don’t sell babies.”
