Education is the key but when some of us do not have the privilege to go to schools with the best facilities to teach and educate us the proper way, there is a serious problem.
Students in some state schools are taught while sitting on bare floors, while some schools are without roofs.
A Nursery and Primary school without roofs in Oshodi has called on the Lagos state government to help with the rehabilitation of the school.
The school which is along Oshodi/Agege motor road, has up to four buildings within the premises. Pupils are always scampering for safety anytime it rains and learning process has to be stopped in other to keep the students safe.
Parents and concerned residents in the area have urged the state government to come to their aid and help rehabilitate the school.

The pathetic condition of the school has provided miscreants with the opportunity to sneak in and smoke Indian Hemp. The miscreants sometimes defecate in the open classrooms and do other despicable things to the compound.
A parent, Kafayat Dada, said she personally wrote several letters and visited the Ministry of Education in Alausa to inform them of the condition of the school but nothing has been done.
Dada said: “I have been to places to find out why the school has been abandoned, along with other parents because we suspected that government must have awarded contract for the rehabilitation of the school buildings. We found out that the contract has not been awarded, but I want to use this opportunity to ask Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, to come and rehabilitate the school for our children. We are not happy with the terrible condition of the school because it is an eyesore. Our children have right to school in a conducive environment like other children in the state.”
It is already hard to learn on a daily basis, it is harder to learn in an environment that is not mentally or emotionally conducive.
