Nigeria’s first openly gay preacher and the founder of House of Rainbow Fellowship, a gay church in Lagos, Jide Macaulay, has initiated a move to ban homophobes from entering North America and Europe.

The reverend posted a message on his Instagram page, asking people who have experienced homophobic attacks to report the incident to House of Rainbow to take action against homophobes.

He said: “If you are homophobic, "great or small", we are setting a "Homophobic Offenders Register", which will include possible travel ban to Europe or North America.”

“If you have experienced homophobic attack or aware of a homophobic incidence at home in Africa or abroad, please report to @HouseOfRainbow for documentation.”
