A family in Ghana is furious and in panic after the body of their baby who died few days after coming into the world went missing.
NAIJ.com gathered that the mother of the baby, Abigail Opoku, was rushed to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in labour on Friday, March 24.
According to the father, Solomon Ansah, his wife fell unconscious after giving birth to the baby on Saturday, March 25.
The family received shock after the wife regained strength on Wednesday, March 29, and asked to see her baby only to be told the baby had died on Monday, March 27.
They received more shock after they requested to see the body of the baby and they were told another family member had signed documents to recover the body and take to the morgue.
Ansah, however, expressed that the mortuary attendant refused to let him see his baby, adding that they claimed that the refrigerator had been locked.
Public relations officer to the hospital, Kofi Frimpong, expressed that an investigation to the matter would commence immediately.
Frimpong disclosed that the police would also be called in if any foul play is discovered.
