Wife of Jumia delivery man who was killed in Port Harcourt cries out (photos)

Wife of the Jumia delivery agent, Chukwuma Eleje, who was killed and thrown into a septic tank by three assailants in Port Harcourt has lamented the loss of her husband and the father of her four children.

The widow, Blessing Eleje, expressed that her children are still awaiting the return of their father. She recalled that the deceased had promised the kids that he was coming back home with goodies from work.

She said: “He left for work telling us that he would be back. He promised the children by telling them he would buy a lot of goodies for them. Up till now, they believe that their daddy is coming back.

NAIJ.com recently published the arrest of the three assailants, Sodienye Mbatumukeke, Excel Naabe and Joy Eluwa, who killed the victim after receiving 2 iPhone 7 from him.

The suspected killers were arrested by operatives of the Rivers state Police Command.

According to The Punch, she explained that her 38-year-old husband was just an ordinary man with four children. She further added that she doesn’t know how to live without her husband by her side.

She said: “How will I cope with school fees? Our rent has expired and the landlord gave us one week and now the one week has expired.

“Now, I am hearing my husband is dead, how am I going to cope? He was just an ordinary man with a wife and four children.”

Blessing expressed that she didn’t know about her husband's death until everybody who had heard started giving her condolences.

She said: “I did not know that the news had spread everywhere. My family and I were not aware until when I saw people gathering in my house telling me sorry. I was surprised, I didn’t understand why they were telling me sorry.”
