A Nigerian man, Adedeji Abiodun Liadi, has passed away after he slumped while jogging in a Malaysian campus field.
Liadi who hails from Ibadan Oyo state was a doctorate student at the International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM).
He was also a lecturer at the Department of Economics, National Open University Nigeria (NOUN), Lagos state. He was the immediate past President of the Nigerian Students Community (NISCOM), IIUM.
Laidi was said to have slumped and died while he was jogging at the campus field.
NAIJ.com gathered that the 44-year-old lecturer was waiting to submit his thesis for viva when he slumped and died on campus.
The lecturer was buried according to Islamic rites at the Muslim burial ground in Malaysia. Hundreds of people, including representatives of the Nigerian High Commission in Malaysia, were in attendance.
According to his colleagues and his wife, Abimbola, the deceased was a rear breed.
Adedeji Abiodun Liadin who is a product of Eleta High School, Ibadan, Lagos State University and University of Lagos, joined NOUN in 2013 and started his PhD programme in Malaysia in 2014.
