A rare image of Jesus Christ has been spotted in the sky above the World Trade Centre during the commemoration of the victims of 9/11 terror attack that left about 2996 dead.
The'holy image' was reportedly taken by freelance photographer Rich McCormack who was busy capturing photo of the Tribute in Light at the World Trade Center site.
At the top of the beams appeared to be a silhouette of an angel, though the photographer himself said it had a striking resemblance to Jesus.
The picture was shared on social media, where many users immediately reacted, with some saying the image was a symbolic religious sign. It says:"Oh my God. God is great. God is good. This has left me with so much faith. God is watching over us always," said Norma Cheryda Aguila-Valdaliso.
The photo even captured the attention of families of the victims of the 9/11 terror attack. Among them was one Yvette Cid, who admitted being overwhelmed by the picture.
"That's an awesome pic, wow! I lost my two boys and I believe this is a sign to all that have lost a love one," she commented.
Nancy Diaz, another social media user who saw the photo, was of the view that Jesus Christ was looking down upon New York.
Diaz's views were echoed by Heléna Padgett who said, "The Lord is with us and this is just another reminder. It's beautiful."
While some questioned the photo's validity, arguing that it had been photo-shopped or even placed there as a hologram by the government, photographer McCormack said he hadn't tampered with the image.
