- NAIJ.com gathered that a Muslim man, Ehab Jaber, may have scared some Christians when he walked into one of their events on April 9
- Jaber had made a video while in the parking lot, where he showed off his high-powered guns
- Jaber was not arrested by the police because he had not broken any laws with his actions
Ehab Jaber, a Muslim-American man who lives in South-Dakota, USA, may have raised suspicions on April 9, after he made a Facebook Live video of himself showing off his high-powered guns right outside the venue of a Christian conference.
Jaber was eventually accosted by an off-duty policeman who made him stop recording his video at the venue of the conference. When the policeman asked for his name, he said: ''John Smith, the Muslim John Smith," before leaving the hotel.
In his videos, Jaber wore a T-shirt with the inscription ''I am a Muslim, I open carry and conceal carry and I am only dangerous if you are stupid.'' He also shared another video of him attending the conference while holding onto a Quran.
The gathering which consisted of over 500 people, including women and children, had been hosted in Hilton Garden Inn and was organized by the president of worldview weekend, Brannon Howes, who shared the screenshots of Jaber's video on April 17.
Jaber later made another live video where he ranted about the anti-Muslim nature of the conference. The agenda for the conference was said to have included a presentation titled ‘Sabotaging America: Islam’s March Toward Supremacy’ by a former Muslim turned Christian pastor, Shahram Hadian.
He went ahead to say the event organizer was just '‘capitalizing on everybody’s f***ing fears so he can sell f***ing books… you f***ing people believe anything.’'
Addressing the issue on Facebook, Brannon, the event organizer, said: ''Ask yourself if a white "Christian" did this at a Muslim conference would he be arrested or charged?’'
Jaber who was neither arrested nor charged with any crime following the incident because he broke no laws, took to Facebook Live again on Tuesday, April 18, to insist that he was not a threat to anyone, and also he was only exercising his Second Amendment rights as an American citizen.
‘'You believe because I’m Muslim that I don’t have the same rights that you do, I'm an American and so are you. I have the same f***ing rights that you do. I’m not a terrorist… If you were expecting an ISIS flag behind me and a cave, you couldn't be so far off from the truth.’'
