- An image showing what locals believe is the figure of Jesus Christ has surfaced online
- The shape occurred over a Colombian city recently hit by a landslide
- However, some say it is simply a rare cloud formation
A picture showing what locals and some social media users believe is the figure of Jesus Christ has surfaced online.
The astonishing shape occurred over the Colombian city of Manizales in the region of Caldas where a landslide swept through last week, claiming the lives of 17 people.
A social media user named Marya de Iesus shared the picture and a recording online and it has sparked a lot of debate.
In her post, Marya said: "Jesus Christ was visiting our Colombian town. He calmed down the sky and was listened to. God blesses us and glory to Lord and Universe King."
While some agreed with Marya that the figure was a sign of Jesus Christ, others suggested that the devastation left by the landslide caused the locals to search for divine answers. Some also said the phenomenon was simply a rare cloud formation that could be explained by weather or meteorological experts.
A commenter, Noe Bazan, said: "This is a natural phenomenon with the light of the sun through different types of cloud. It happens in all parts of the world."
It could also be recalled that few weeks back, it was also reported that Jesus Christ was allegedly spotted in around Sogunle area of Lagos state but as people were trying to take his picture, he disappeared
