It has always been said that in order to be great and to achieve success, it requires a lot of hardwork, patience and trust in God.
Popular Nigerian man of God, Bishop David Oyedepo did not build Winners Chapel in a day but he gradually worked hard to make his dream and divine calling come to pass. He is indeed grateful for where he is today after 36 years of hardwork and determination.
As part of thanking God for the special grace so far, Bishop Oyedepo took to his Facebook wall to reveal a picture of how he his first church and how the work of God began for him.
NAIJ.com gathered that the picture which was taken in the year 1981 was posted with the caption: “Since 36 years, this Commission has never known drought; If Jesus tarries, in the next 36 years, you will never know drought in Jesus name! #mcid #TBT #LFCat36”
See post below:
It could be recalled that, Bishop Oyedepo claimed to have received a mandate from God through an 18-hour vision in May 1981, to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith. This is the inaugural vision that led to the founding of the Living Faith Church World Wide (LFCWW), first called Liberation Faith Hour Ministries, in 1981.
On September 17, 1983, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, ordained David and his wife, Abiola Oyedepo to become pastors and officially commissioned the new church. Five years later, Oyedepo was ordained as Bishop.
Now, the 62-year-old Bishop David Oyedepo is the founder of Faith Tabernacle, Sango Ota, Ogun state and Living Faith Church Worldwide popularly known as, Winners Chapel. Also in his records, Faith Tabernacle was reported to be the largest church auditorium in the world.
