A mom in Georgia, US was breastfeeding her baby at a payroll office when a manager asked her to cover up.

What the manager didn't count on was Avery Lane, 28, knowing her state's laws. That, and the fact that she is very quick-witted.

Avery shared her rejoinder on Facebook on April 21 and it has since gone viral.

Avery wrote: “So I was breastfeeding my 2 month old at a H&R Block on a military post when the manager asked me ‘Can you cover up with a towel or something?’"

She continued: "I was completely shocked so I raised my voice slightly and said ‘No, but I have a muslin if you would like to cover your face. You must not know Georgia’s breastfeeding laws.’"

Her response drew praise from other moms, many of who said they have often been forced to breastfeed in their cars or cover up.

Avery said her husband, Robert Reukauf, 22, gave her the confidence to speak out and kept her updated about breastfeeding laws.

The manager later apologized to Avery, but he must have learnt his lesson—as well as his state's laws.
