In most cases, people don’t graduate and get hired on the same day. But it happened to Melanie Sanchez, a fresh graduate from University of Central Florida.
Sanchez was right in the middle of celebrating her graduation when she received unexpected call. It was a nerve-wracking phone call.
“I was just kind of like freaking out. So I was like, ‘You know what? This is a once in a lifetime chance, so I’m just going to answer it really quickly,” Sanchez pondered, then picked up the call.
On the other end was a lady who really wanted to hear from her.
“Is this a good time to speak?” the caller inquired. “Yeah, of course,” Sanchez responded, anxiously, even as people clapped and screamed in the background.
The lady was calling from a Florida health care company, which Sanchez had reportedly interviewed with, to inform the fresh grad that she had just been hired.
“We are calling because I want to let you know that we want to offer you the job,” the lady reportedly told Sanchez.
For Sanchez, this was the best news ever on her graduation day. She just finished school, and now she had a job waiting for her? Clearly, her day couldn’t have gotten any better than this.
Prior to this day, Sanchez had an interview with the company, during which she impressed the prospective employer with her presentation.
Sources privy to the viral incident say she will be reporting to work on 15th May 2017.
