- A 28-year-old nursing student of Ogun State Health College of Health Technology in Ilese Ijebu has given birth
- The lady was allegedly impregnated by her lecturer who has refused to accept the child
Mosunmola, a 28-year-old former nursing student of Ogun State College of Health Technology in Ilese Ijebu who was allegedly impregnated by her lecturer has given birth.
The lady delivered a healthy baby boy at the General Hospital in Epe. She had the baby without any complication.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Mosunmola and her lecturer, Dr Oluseyi Adu, were embroiled in a scandal which led to some paternity issue.
The young lady was allegedly put in the family way by her lecturer who claimed he was lured as he has never loved or dated her. Mosunmola on the other hand said she was forced to lie with the lecturer when he failed her.
The new mother is hale and hearty and so is the baby. She narrated her ordeal before and after the delivery when she was contacted according to Punch.
“I gave birth to a baby boy this morning (Thursday) at the general hospital. It was a normal delivery without any complication. I started labour around 12am (Thursday). I first went to a herbal home, but when the traditional midwives could not handle it, they took me to the general hospital around 5am. I eventually put to bed at about 6.30am.
“The leadership of the church, where I have been, staying has shown me support. They brought food to me this morning. I cannot repay them for their help.
“I called Adu’s family members this morning to break the news to them. I also called him and he thanked me for turning him to a star. We were still talking when my phone battery went dead. I used someone’s phone to call him back and asked him to call me on that phone, but he refused. I could not charge the phone battery on time due to the power situation in my area.”
Mosunmola has a debt of about N20,000 to pay the hospital as she clamoured for the support of Nigerians.
The lecturer on the other hand has two daughters with his wife and refused to talk about the latest development. He was said to have signed some legal agreement in the past where he said he would take responsibility for the baby if it turned out to be his truly.
