NAIJ.com came across the touching story of a 4-year-old boy who reportedly starved to death after clinging to his mother's dead boy for about two weeks.
According to reports, the little boy identified as Chadrack Mbala Mulo was found in their Northeast London flat with his arms wrapped around his mother's corpse about two weeks after her death.
There are claims that Chadrack who reportedly had traces of autism and couldn't speak during his lifetime may have died as a result of malnutrition, dehydration and eventual starvation.
His mother, late Esther Eketi-Mulo, was said to have died as a result of an epileptic fit leaving him alone in their Trelawney Estate, Hackney flat with her decomposing body.
Neighbours found out that Esther had died after they decided to investigate the smell coming out of her flat. They had initially suspected it would be from the food she was cooking.
According to the medical examiner who carried out an autopsy on the deceased, Mary Hassel, she couldn't understand the actions of the deceased's school when they have an absentee student. She said:
“Chadrack had learning difficulties and, when his mother died unexpectedly at home on 1 or 2 October 2016, he did not know how to call for help or feed himself properly.”

She also said that when staff from his school came around, they couldn't get in. She said:
“They could not gain access to the block of flats where Chadrack and his mother lived. The likelihood is that Chadrack lived alone in the family home for over a fortnight after his mother’s death. He was found a couple of days after his own death, with his arms around her (the mother) body. She was by then very decomposed.”
This is just so sad!
