A man who was reported to be an army cadet from the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna, Saviour Enoch, has been gunned down by a group of suspected cultists.
According to NDA, the man had ceased to be the institution’s cadet on November 18, 2016.
It was gathered that the man was gunned down on Saturday, July 8, around 8:00pm along Gwegwe/Navy road at Ovom local government area in Bayelsa state.
NAIJ.com gathered that the man who is a resident of Ovom area was helping a victim who cried out for help when he was killed.
According to Bodmas Kemepadei, Enoch was on the street with his friends when they heard screams and decided to help.
The deceased was unaware of members of the cultists group who were hidden nearby to stop rescue attempts. The hidden suspects shot him at close range and fled the scene.

Friends of the deceased have taken to Facebook to share farewell messages. One Jpy Tugga Boss who is a close friend to the deceased wished him a peaceful rest.
