26-year-old mother allegedly murdered by her abusive boyfriend in South Africa (photos)

A beautiful 26-year-old mother of one has been found dead by the Western Cape police in South Africa, after being declared missing for two weeks.

The deceased Aviwe Jam Jam was said to have been murdered by her boyfriend in July, after she left her home. She was said to be running away from her lover, Linda Nolili, but reports have it that she was last seen at his place in Summerville.

According to News24, Jam Jam’s body was found at the Vygieskraal stadium, Athlone on Saturday, July 29, and her parents identified her body on Tuesday, August 8. She was brutally beaten to death.

However, her boyfriend has been arrested. He was arrested few days after he went to Jam Jam’s home to beat up and stab her stepfather. Her aunt Nondumiso Zizi confirmed the report saying:

“Aviwe was in an abusive relationship with this boyfriend. Aviwe’s mother tried to warn Aviwe of this, but she wouldn’t listen. She loved [her] boyfriend, so there was nothing we could do about it. Aviwe’s mother suspected that Aviwe won’t come [back] alive because the way the boyfriend was treating her. He [the stepfather] was bleeding and the whole yard was full of blood because of them and the boyfriend climbed on top of him and said they should kill him.”

On Wednesday, August 9, the minister of police Fikile Mbalula disclosed that the young man is under investigation and has been linked with other cases. She also urged women not to keep quiet when being abused but report to the authorities so that these criminals can be arrested.

However, the deceased attained a tourism degree from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). Her 56-year-old mother Nomthandazo said that Aviwe would be missed because she always ‘brought life’ to her home.

Late Jam Jam had a 2-year-old daughter for her boyfriend.
