RCCG bans members from certain things considered ungodly

- Redeemed Christian Church of God has allegedly banned its members from certain regular practices

-The mandate was given by the general overseer's wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye

- The church banned two particular practices common among church members including compulsory wearing of asoebi materials

RCCG has forbidden its members from doing certain things considered and certified ungodly by the church. The reason for outlawing regular practice is unknown but it is clear that there can't be fire without smoke.

In a recent program held at the church, the general overseer's wife was said to have dished out advise and warning to church members who practice the "ungodly" act of mandated asoebi distribution for occasions. According to the woman of God, the fervent use of asoebi materials for weddings and other events is ungodly and causes discrimination in the church. Which led to its banishment from the well-known church.

According to reports, the wife of the General Overseer , Pastor Folu Adeboye categorically stated that compelling members to buy asoebi for an event is an act of the worldly and shouldn't be brought into the church.

Speaking to her church members at the women's meeting held at 65th annual convention of the church, she pointed out that mandating the purchase of asoebi materials was completely ungodly and should be stopped in the church. She added that whoever was caught flouting the new rule will be sanctioned.

2. Petty lies and gossiping especially during wedding and engagement events was also talked about and banned.

Mama also spoke about gossip, saying that petty lies told during Christian wedding engagement and those who engage in lies to make money from the attendees should stop.

The Holy Ghost night event was well attended and some of the notables present include: Acting President Osinbajo, Governor of Benue, Samuel Ortom, wife of Lagos State Governor, Abimbola Ambode, former Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko and his wife, Kemi, Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly, President, Living Faith Ministry, Bishop David Oyedepo, among others.
