On Monday, August 14, the news about the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his wife Olori Wuraola hit the internet as many alleged that the royal marriage has hit the rocks.
Amidst the unpleasant news, the Ooni of Ife has kicked off the annual celebration of the Osun festival on Tuesday, August 15, without Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi beside him.
However, sources revealed that Olori Wuraola is currently attending to some meetings back in Lagos but is due to be back in the palace on Thursday, August 17.
The Ooni of Ife was seen rocking his usual all-white regalia as he walked down the streets of Ife with his chiefs and kinsmen. He was also seen raising a white pigeon in the air.
In a statement made available to NAIJ.com, Ooni of Ife was quoted to have said:
"Osun is God's messenger and this is the spot (Ita-Osun) she domiciled when she was here, from here, she moved to Igede-Ekiti and from there to Osogbo where she spread throughout the world. Osun is the first goldsmith in the world and very spiritual. All what she did is to meet the demands of the populace of whoever comes to her by healing them of all kinds of illnesses; fruits of the womb for those looking for baby and all sorts."
"Our culture is our national asset; it’s our money spinning oil if well harness and propagate in the right channel because we have to elevate our culture to turn our nation to tourist centre that 'll attract influx of foreigners to our land that will yield economic turn-over.

His Royal Majesty, Oba James Adelusi, Aladesuru II, Onigede of Igede-ENITI led delegation of over hundreds of people from Igede Ekiti to worship Osun Festival in Ile-Ife also attended by some foreigners especially from Cuba, Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago.
Reacting to the infidelity rumours surrounding Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his beautiful wife, the palace on Tuesday, August 15, exclusively disclosed to NAIJ.com that the 17 months old marriage is still intact.

Meanwhile, in a statement released by the press secretary to Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi, Abraham Adedeji, it was disclosed that there is absolutely no truth to these absurd claims of infidelity nor crisis in the royal family.
Adedeji said: "It has come to the attention of our office – the slanderous rumors and sensationalist distortions about Her Majesty, Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi through unnamed and unseen sources. The sources are also citing deplorable claims involving Her Majesty Wuraola and that of prominent businessmen in Nigeria, all of whom are good friends of the King and Queen & financial contributors to projects that have advanced our good work in the communities of Ife and Nigeria as a whole. We are deeply disturbed by these rumors and there is absolutely no truth to these absurd claims of infidelity and we vehemently deny them. Due to the nature of the allegations and the attempt to defame the character of the Queen and embarrass well respected friends of our Palace, we have immediately employed legal counsel to investigate their origin to take necessary action against the perpetrators. Please be advised, that in this digital age, digital footprints can lead to your identification. We stand firmly together, in our commitment to our peace and the truth."
