NAIJ.com came across the touching story shared by a woman who claimed to have lost her brother to domestic violence at the hands of his wife.
Even though domestic violence is being massively reported due to the advent of social media, it is often thought that 'only women are sufferers'.
If a post shared by Instagram user, @otesmakover, is anything to go by, then not only do women suffer, men are also victims sometimes.
According to the post, the lady claims her brother was stabbed to death by his wife back in 2011, following a domestic dispute they had.
Sharing the post and a picture of her brother, @otesmakover wrote:
"Today marks 6 years since you left this sinful world. How I lost my only brother to his wife. Through domestic violence in Warri...leaving two kids behind...I remember when your wife stabbed you to death, leaving you to bleed and die, you stayed 3days at Central Hospital Warri, later to UBTH where you died leaving me your only brother behind . I was alone with your corpse at the ambulance. My dearly beloved brother, my one and ever only brother, Hope Rukevwe Ochuko Olojoba...Rest in perfect peace till we meet at Jesus feet. Your 2 kids Precious and Rhema are doing great, your kids are doing great."
