NAIJ.com came across the sad story of a 200-level student, Adegboyega Adeyinka Khalid, who reportedly died after complaining of pain in his neck.
The late Khalid who was a Fisheries and Aquaculture student of the Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), had reportedly complained of some pain in his neck.
He was taken to the hospital where he passed on, leaving behind his heartbroken family and friends including Olugbenro Afowobi, who shared the sad news via Facebook.
Afowobi wrote: "WHAT A SAD EVENING...Fear gripped my heart when I heard Khalid is no longer with us that he has embarked on a journey of no return, tears rolled down my eye when I realized I'm not gonna see you anymore Yinka!!! Treasured in my heart you’ll stay, until we meet again some day I'll forever remember your humble spirit...R.I.P"
Speaking to LIB on his friend's death, Afowobi said:
"It's really a terrible news. I still chatted with him on Facebook a few hours before they announced his death. Khalid was a very gentle guy, humble and respectful. He was my school son. As a matter of that the morning he died, he still called his friend, Oyetakin Wole and he was fine. The student union is making attempts to visit his parents for condolences. His elder brother put a call through to us that his mother has been moved down to their home town in Abeokuta because she couldn't bear the loss and she's in shock."
RIP to him!
