On Friday, August 12, a 6-year-old boy Kutlwano Garesape was stabbed several times by an assassin for trying to protect his mother in South Africa.
According to local media in South Africa, Kutlwano and his mother were walking to school at Jan Kempdorp in the Northern Cape when they were attacked. The child was stabbed repeatedly with a broken bottle by an assailant identified as 32-year-old Tefelo Dikole‚ who has already appeared in the Jan Kempdorp Magistrate’s Court.
The little boy and his 42-year-old mother, Segomotso Garesape was attacked while she walked her sons, aged six and eight years to school after they missed their school bus. Kutlwano was reported to have slapped and kicked the man as the assassin attempted to strangle his mother‚ screaming: "Let go of my mommy"

His mother disclosed that: "I heard my child crying out for me and I saw him trying to defend himself with his hands. The man just kept on stabbing him."
