A pastor has been arraigned before a court of law for stealing jewellery.
According to reports, the pastor who was recently granted bail of N1 million following her arraignment in court, deceived a woman who had come to her for prayers.
The 23-year-old pastor identified as Nkechinyere Ndukwe, had reportedly asked the woman Ifeoma Isiuwa, to bring her expensive jewelleries (worth about N10 million) to her, so that she could pray for her. However, Ndukwe never returned them when Isiuwa came back to pick them up.
Ndukwe who is facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and obtaining under false pretence, appeared before Magistrate Helen Omisore, at the Ebutte Meta magistrate's court, where she pleaded 'not guilty' to the charges levelled against her.

According to the prosecutor Inspector Cousin Adams, Not only did Ndukwe not provide the jewelleries, she also told Isiuwa that they now belonged to her, as she would use them personally henceforth.
Following her bail, the case was adjourned till October 17, while she faces a 2-year jail sentence if found guilty.
